21 February 2013 – Hampshire, UK/… In the upcoming fantasy MMORPG Dragon’s Prophet, dragons, naturally, play a leading role. But as Berlin publisher Infernum and publishing partner Deep Silver announced today, the scaly creatures are way more than just mounts.
A new trailer exposing the dragons in action can be found here on the official community website, which has been launched today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYSTaDxu-qM
Dragons are majestic creatures that will stand by their player’s side, faithful companions that carry their owners anywhere and valuable friends with an undying compassion to support them in battle. Thanks to the special bond players have with their dragon, they complement both the player’s avatar and intensify the gameplay possibilities.
Over 300 dragons can be discovered, captured and tamed, if players can rise to the challenge. These furious beasts may only become a lifelong companion if those brave enough can prove their strength as riders and gain their trust. On their journey through Auratia, the world of Dragon’s Prophet, players can take up to six different dragons with them and enjoy the freedom to choose which one of them they want to fight by their side.
The dragons not only differ in appearance but also offer different types of movement: Some can be used to fly, some are experts at gliding, others don’t have wings at all and some are even capable of diving underwater. Each dragon possesses an individual skillset containing passive, active and supporting abilities. For example, a flying dragon could be capable of healing, providing buffs and engaging in melee combat.
All dragons are kept and managed from a player’s personal Lair. From there, they can be taught new skills or instructed to collect resources. When a dragon has completed a specific task, it will receive training points which in return can be used to improve attributes such as strength or intelligence.
