Renaissance Heroes

Renaissance Heroes, the free shooter from Gamefuse, takes players back to a time of change and discovery. The game has been on our radar for a while, and now that it has officially launched it is time to really dig in and give the game a solid kicking of the proverbial 16th century tires. The Da Vinci influence in the game is clear, and used very well. Not only do the weapons highly realistic and resemble some of Da Vinci’s famous drawings and inventions, but the maps have significant influence with everything from the famous flying machine to the massive library of books.

While the backdrops and the thought that went into the gear and maps certainly pull a player into the game. The gameplay and other features are very impressive. Each piece of gear changes when equipped and the multiple taunts are a hoot to play with. You currently have access to seven different character, each with their own special attributes and storied backgrounds. Gameplay modes vary and give players a nice variety from the usual types of gameplay modes, with some having a twist to match the games theme. A player can even test their skills against the games practice bots whenever they feel they need the practice or even just a bit of an ego boost.

Reminds me of the good old Quake series.

Its looks awesome! You can say it feels like Quake, but i believe it feels more like UT in my opinion, making note that it runs on Unreal Engine 3.

The game is a tad bit unbalanced sadly.
Higher level weapons are just flat out better and you get more upgrades at high level.
Level 20+ guys are dominating every match as they got those weapons and also reason being that they are pros from UT3 or simliar games meaning they got godly aim.
You would wish they were just using aimbots… but they aren’t. Their aim is just that good.

I have a question in the video it was said that you can buy parts for upgrades…..Would that be buying your way to a stronger weapon? This games art style is great and the action reminds me of Quake.

You will be able to buy that stuff with currency you earn through game play, not from premium currency.

That does stink. Let’s hope that the game institutes some better matchmaking in the future.
